The Public Investment Fund (PIF) herein referred to as “PIF” (also indicated as “us”, “we” or “our”) is committed to respecting your privacy and any personal data or sensitive personal data you share with us based on the applicable Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and regulations/standards of the PDPL. We will only use your personal information to deliver the services you have requested from us.
This Privacy Notice applies to all visitors and users, (hereinafter referred to as "You", "User", or “Data Subject”) who access or use our website.
The intent of this Privacy Notice is to inform you about the following:

  • The type of information we may gather about you and the purpose for gathering it when you use our website.
  • The use of the information gathered from you and who do we share it with.
  • Your rights in regards to your personal data.

    We may collect the personal data directly from you as part of providing services on our website that may include email, phone number, position, first name, last name, your CV, birth date, nationality, or any other personal information provided by you to us resulting through our website.

PIF may generally collect your personal information directly or indirectly from you. This may be achieved through your interactions via our website, other social media platforms, telephone, email or writing to us.

PIF may use your data that was collected directly or indirectly from you for performing our duties and responsibilities as an organization such as:

  • Creating an account, if required, for you whereby you can login through a username and password and access the various services provided on the website.
  • Data you have submitted during the registration process and in your CV Account, jobs that you have visited and have applied to, messages that you have sent and received from this website or a third party.
  • Resolving queries that were submitted by you which might require that your personal data becomes visible to the support teams of PIF.
  • Performing any quality checks and enhancing the services we provide.

4. PERSONAL DATA DISCLOSURE

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. PIF reserves the right to disclose your personal information in the following cases:

  • You have agreed to disclose your personal data.
  • The personal data is collected from a publicly available source.
  • The entity requesting disclosure is a public entity and the request is for security purposes, to implement another law, or to meet judicial requirements in accordance with the provisions set out by the regulations.
  • The disclosure is necessary to protect public health or safety, or to protect the life or health of a particular individual(s).
  • The disclosure will not lead to your identification or any other individuals.
  • The disclosure is necessary to achieve legitimate interests of PIF, without prejudice to your rights and interests.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

PIF makes all its efforts to guarantee your rights under the limits stipulated in the PDPL and other applicable regulations/standards, according to the following:

  • 5.1 Right to be Informed: You have the right to be informed about the collection and usage of your personal data including why and how we collect your personal data, the purposes for processing your data, and who will it be shared with.
  • 5.2 Right to Request Access: You have the right to access your personal data with PIF in a readable and clear format and are entitled to obtain a copy of it. PIF may also restrict this request as per the cases stipulated in the PDPL.
  • 5.3 Right to Update: You have the right to request data correction, completion, or update.
  • 5.4 Right to Request Destruction: You have the right to request that your personal data be destroyed when:
    • a. You consider that we no longer require the information for the purposes for which it was obtained.
    • b. You have validly objected to our use of your personal information.
    • c. Our use of your personal information is contrary to the Law or any other legal obligations.
    • d. You have revoked your consent to collect and process your personal data.
  • 5.5 Right to Withdraw Consent: You have the right to revoke consent to collect and process your personal data unless statutory or judicial requirements require otherwise.
  • 5.6 Right to Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to file complaint to the competent authority when you feel that your rights have not been met.

You may submit a request to exercise your rights by following the below steps:

  • 1. Download and fill the attached Data Subject Request (DSR) form
  • 2. Submit the DSR form on the following email: dpo@pif.gov.sa

 

6. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

The following are the lawful basis of processing personal data:

  • 6.1 Your consent that you provide to process your personal information for a specific purpose that we communicate to you. We may process your personal data without obtaining your consent in the following cases:
    • a. If the processing achieves a definite interest for the user and it is impossible or difficult to contact the user.
    • b. If processing is according to an initial contractual agreement with you, or processing is in accordance with applicable laws.
    • c. Processing required for judicial and/or security purposes by a public entity.
    • d. If the personal data is publicly available or collected from a publicly available source.
  • 6.2 Pursuing legitimate interest for us or for the user.
  • 6.3 Compliance with regulations and royal decrees that are applicable to PIF.
  • 6.4 Protecting the vital interest of individuals.
  • 6.5 Achieving public interest or serving an official request from an authority according to its roles.
  • 6.6 Executing an agreement in which the user is a party.

7. CHILDREN’S PERSONAL DATA

In the case where we may collect personal data of a child under the age of 18 through our website, the purpose would solely be to directly respond to user’s request without using their personal data for any other purposes. The child’s data won’t be processed without notifying the child’s guardian of the request except if there is a legal justification for PIF to process the data specified by applicable law, regulations, or for security reasons.


8. PERSONAL DATA SECURITY

We will take appropriate steps to protect the personal information you share with us. We maintain safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful, or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure, or use. However, we cannot be certain that the prior would not happen and cannot be held responsible for unauthorized or unintended access that is beyond our control. The security measures are reviewed periodically by us to keep pace with regulatory changes.
