About Diriyah
Diriyah Company was established in 2022 and is responsible for developing the Diriyah project, the birthplace of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its foremost historical, cultural and lifestyle destination.
Diriyah Company is one of Public Investment Fund companies , and it’s mission is to develop the unique Diriyah Project and re-establish its position as a globally significant destination and one of the world’s greatest gathering places. The project is anchored on At-Turaif, the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of modern-day Saudi Arabia.
The cultural and historical legacy of Diriyah positions the project as an unrivaled destination of global significance where the authenticity of Saudi culture and heritage is preserved and celebrated. Facts about this initiative:
- A unique destination with distinctive cultural, historical and tourism landmarks, Diriyah proudly showcases 300 years of Saudi Arabia’s history to the world.
- The area is the birthplace of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the ancestral home of the Al Saud royal family, and the site upon which the First Saudi State was established in 1727. The settlement of Diriyah, which dates back to 1446, has been home to generations of leaders and is a source of inspiration for millions of Saudis. The globally significant destination includes the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif.
