- Supports Vision 2030 goal of 70% home ownership among Saudi citizens
- All of ROSHN’s developments are designed with sustainability at their core
ROSHN, the PIF-owned giga-project and Saudi real estate developer, has announced WAREFA, its third major project in the country and its second residential community in Riyadh.
The developer, which contributes to the Vision 2030 goals to increase the rate of home ownership to 70% and raise living standards for all Saudi citizens, will focus on creating high-quality housing in the new development located in eastern Riyadh’s Al Janadriyyah district.
David Grover, Group CEO of ROSHN, said: “Al Janadriyyah is an area that has undergone rapid evolution in recent years, and WAREFA will provide an integrated, sustainable community with services and amenities to support the district’s growth. We are excited to continue delivering on ROSHN’s mandate and expand ROSHN’s vision for new communities and lifestyles across our capital city.”
Featuring 2,000 residential units as well as a district mall, primary healthcare facility, a variety of schools, numerous mosques, plus 16,000 square meters of open spaces, WAREFA will be home to more than 13,000 residents. It will be situated on a total footprint of 1.4 million square meters.
Aligned with the sustainability targets of Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, all of ROSHN’s developments are pedestrian-centric and feature landscaping with local trees and shrubs. WAREFA will be no exception: Shaded walkways and cycle routes will be integrated into the neighborhood alongside innovative insulation, solar water heaters, and efficient air-conditioning. Additionally, high-tech plumbing fittings and advanced irrigation technology will help save water usage.
