Hadeed
Hadeed is the largest iron and steel producer in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, offering a wide range of high-quality long (rebar, wire rod) and flat (hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized) steel products. The company began producing long steel in 1983 and flat steel in 1998. Today, it has a total finished products capacity of approximately 7 million tons per year.
Since its establishment in 1979, Hadeed has played a key role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s construction, energy and industrial sectors. As one of the world’s largest integrated direct reduced iron (DRI) operators, Hadeed is a recognized pioneer in lower-carbon, large-scale steelmaking.
In 2024, as part of its broader strategy to grow Saudi Arabia’s metals and mining sector, PIF acquired a majority stake in Hadeed. At the same time, Hadeed acquired 100% of AlRajhi Steel Industries—creating a regional champion in the steel industry.A cornerstone of the Saudi industrial ecosystem, Hadeed is a driving force for innovation and plays a pivotal role in delivering Saudi Vision 2030.
