Rising Architects
The MUSAHAMA Design Competition brought together Saudi final-year undergraduates and recent architecture graduates (within 12 months), forming teams of three to four, to re-imagine SEDRA’s Pedestrian Spine.
Competition Stages
Interim Stage
Teams developed initial design concepts and narratives that guided the final design. Shortlisted teams were selected to advance to the final stage of the competition.
Final Stage
The selected teams refined and detailed their designs and the final selected teams were awarded.

Throughout the competition, participants benefited from a comprehensive series of learning experiences facilitated by leading design and engineering firms:
- Webinars: Gained invaluable insights across various aspects of design, laying a strong foundation for submissions and professional development
- Workshop: Engaged in hands-on learning experiences and valuable networking opportunities
- One-on-One Sessions: Received personalized feedback on their design projects and expert guidance on the use of local materials
