  • Hotel operator joins roster of global partners at the Amaala wellness destination on Saudi Arabia’s west coast
  • “The resort is situated within one of the most dramatic landscapes along Triple Bay,” says John Pagano, CEO of PIF-owned Red Sea Global
  • Six Senses Amaala will have sustainability at its core, in line with Vision 2030 goals
The PIF-owned developer Red Sea Global (RSG), which is creating two of the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism destinations, The Red Sea and Amaala, has announced a new partnership with luxury wellness resort brand Six Senses to operate a property at Triple Bay in western Saudi Arabia.

Inspired by the area’s coastal villages, Six Senses Amaala will include 64 rooms, six suites, 30 villas, and 25 branded residences. Designed by architects U+A with interiors by Studio Carter, the resort’s amenities will focus on Amaala’s three themes of “wellness and sports”, “arts and culture”, and “sea, sun, and lifestyle”.

John Pagano, Group CEO of RSG, said: “I am delighted to announce this partnership based on shared values with such an iconic brand. The resort is situated within one of the most dramatic landscapes along Triple Bay, with a stunning backdrop of the bay itself and panoramic views of the pristine Red Sea coast.”

PIF – as an economic driver of Saudi Vision 2030, the nationwide economic diversification plan – is focusing on meeting the country’s environmental targets through its investments.

To this purpose, the Amaala resort will have sustainability at its heart. As well as utilizing local materials in its design, it will also have a dedicated desalination plant that has zero impact on the pristine coral reefs and will implement a ban on single-use plastics. All wastewater and organic waste will be used for agriculture and the organic farm, while energy requirements will be met using renewable sources in line with the development’s zero carbon footprint.

“We are connected by a shared commitment to the practice, appreciation, and advancement of arts and culture, wellness, and environmental preservation,” said Neil Jacobs, CEO of Six Senses.

Six Senses Amaala is set to launch as part of the first phase of the Triple Bay development. It follows on the heels of Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea, which will open this year.
